(I'm emailing in from college. I'm interested to see if this works or not, despite the fact that although my blog is blocked, blogger isn't. Hhmm. I'm currently in the lrc and I'm cold because the air conditioning is going right down my neck. brrrr.ANYWAY.)
Here are fifty things (I hope) you don't know about me (some of it you probably will). I did do this on Facebook a while ago, so I'm going to try and make it different, but obviously some of it will be the same...you try writing fifty things about yourself.
1. I hate Marmite. However, the smell of it reminds me of Double Health and Social Care in my first year of college when we made chocolate krispy things.
2. I used to be scared of Mystic Meg. I used to sit in the middle of the sofa with my mum and would ask when it'd be safe to look.
3. I like jewellery. I collect it. If you buy me jewellery, I will love you FOREVER.
4. I used to be in art club during Years 5 and 6. However, I'm not good at art.
5. I won an award for fancy dress when I was a baby.
6. I like English. I like funny sounding words. I like writing about odd ideas that pop into my head. I like reading just about anything.
7. I take pictures. I have a standard digital camera that I've had for a couple of years now; it's not brilliant but it does work.
8. I still occasionally watch children's television programs.
9. I've been white water rafting and despite my initial fears, loved it.
10. I did my work experience in a nursery school. Small children like to use you as a human climbing frame.
11. I have a craving for doritos right now, but I'm pretty sure I don't have enough money with me. *checks*...well I have 50p, but I don't think that's enough. I get cravings for odd foods, often at inappropriate times (such at 3am when Tesco's is shut).
12. I want to travel, but have no money to do so.
13. I used to collect Pokemon cards; they were all I used to spend my money on in primary school. That and beanie babies.
14. I don't like the colour pink.
15. I feel obliged to buy a notebook everytime I go into Paperchase, which means in my room there are boxes full of them.
16. I can be shy. Often when I don't talk it's because I've gone all tongue tied and don't know what to say, but that doesn't mean I don't like you! If I'm quiet it's usually because I'm thinking about things.
17. I'm a daydreamer. When I was in Year 2, due to my middle name being Alice, I was called Alice in Wonderland.
18. I don't like my name and will probably change it in the future. As to what, I'm taking suggestions.
19. I have long(ish) fingernails that seem to grow of their own accord.
20. I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Cookie dough is my favourite.
21. I often doodle on my work.
22. I sneeze quite obviously. Not as loud as when my dad blows his nose, but you can hear me.
23. I've had glasses since Year 9. I would wear contacts but I'm not entirely sure I want to put something in my eye.
24. I can't ride a bicycle. Well, I can, sort of. I learnt when I was younger and every summer I practise, which seems to include re-learning.
25. Somewhere in our house there is a video of my when I was younger called 'the potty dance'.
26. There is also somewhere in our house a video of a duet Lydia and I performed.
27. I can play piano and have done since I was 7.
28. I've been dancing in one way or another since I was 3.
29. I joined a drama club when I was 7-ish. I had one line in the play that we did.
30. I like hot chocolate. If I go somewhere and they don't have spoons then I will eat the cream off the top with my fingers. (This mainly happens in Starbucks.)
31. I've participated in NaNoWriMo for the past two years and won. This year I gave up half way through but decided to try and finish.
32. I try and impress people for reasons I can't explain. They're often the wrong people.
33. I'm addicted to Scrubs.
34. I have the ability to remember random facts that are of no use to anyone. Did you know that James Blunt hasn't washed his hair since 1994?
35. I get nervous about the type of people in exams that pace up and down rows and breathe down your neck. I also hate it when they stop to see what you're writing.
36. I used to have a collection of teddy bears when I was younger that my nana would knit clothes for.
37. I now have a craving for iced gems. I used to eat them a lot, as well as pink wafer biscuits.
38. I've been to Rainbows, Brownies and Guides and still have the badges to prove it.
39. I like to learn different languages. I may pronounce words horribly wrong, but it's fun trying.
40. I have a pink/red (there have been many debates as to the colour) hoody which is big and I like to put on whenever I'm cold at home.
41. I've opened the door to a postman in my pyjamas.
42. I'm allergic to cats. I didn't find this out in a pleasant way.
43. I've had one foot in one country and one foot in another.
44. I can be a bit of a perfectionist, especially when it comes to my work. I try not to let it show, which is something I'm getting better at.
45. I like Paris and want to visit again, when a) I have more time to see stuff and b) when I can speak French better than I can now.
46. I can't ice skate. It's hilarious when I try.
47. I learnt to ski in Year 9 for a skiing trip to Italy. I want to go back.
48. I like to write down quotes whenever I can empathise with what a person/character is saying.
49. I've worked at Oxfam for just over four years.
50. (Yay for the last one!) I HATE Key Skills!
