I am sad today. Not as in a bad type of sad, but a good type of sad. (Have patience with me here.) It's mainly because people are leaving for uni, leaving the country and just leaving in general and I'm missing people who I didn't think I would, blah blah blah, mushy stuff, etc.
I'm a bit confused as well in terms of boys, but the less said about them the better. I messed up last year and this year I have to focus on college work. Because there's enough of it.
Moving on. Today has been a good day because I went with my Dad into town and we got my electric piano :) Which he's nearly finished putting together. I also got to choose my laptop, but I have to wait until Christmas to use it. I bought a new top and some jewellery and (I said I wouldn't buy anything from Paperchase. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I need help) a new journal, which is very, very nice. Obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.
I'm worried about my future. It's nearly October and I haven't done my personal statement, I don't know which 5 unis I want to go to, and I don't even know what I want to do any more.
I can't remember what I wrote in the last entry, so I shall briefly say (I think I did mention this...) that I've finished The Hunger Games and Looking For Alaska. I really want Catching Fire, and have no money because of today, so it will have to wait. That, and The Soloist and Fame have just come out at the cinema, so...
I found a load of cds with some music I backed up ageeesss ago and there's some with some good memories attached. Right now I'm listening to Car Wash by Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot (which is out of Shark Tale) and dancing in my chair. Yeah, I know, I need a life.

Eight: Procrastinating.
It may have occured to you that I'm not good at writing regular blog posts...I'll try and change that, though no promises.
College has been...meh. Tiring, but it does mean I appreciate my days off more, like today. Although I've done no work, I've sorted some stuff out round the house (my parents are away this week so I'm having to look after my brother and everything else) and then my Nana called and we went shopping :) I bought some more books (Birdsong and Confessions of a Shopaholic. I know, I'm not supposed to be buying any more books, but they were £1.50 for both of them, and it was for charity, so...) and some makeup. Came home and ate chips and a jammy doughnut (I'm not usually this unhealthy!) and chilled out watching dvds. All in all, a pretty good day. I'm going out to a piano lesson in an about an hour as well, so I'm keeping busy. Which is good.
I've read The Hunger Games and Looking For Alaska since I last wrote an entry, and both are really good. The Hunger Games is a simply brilliant book and is possibly one of the best books I've ever read- as soon as I get some more money, I'm getting Catching Fire, which is the book after it. Apparently it's triology but the third book isn't out yet.
I'm going to shut up now, but for the next couple of months, I will be more absent that usual on the blog. How can you be more absent than you already are, you say? By keeping a blog just for Strictly Come Dancing! First two enteries will be up this evening some time: strictlycomedancing09@blogspot.com

Six: Moannnnn.
You know that select viewing that I was talking about in my last entry? Well, it would appear that Mock The Week is now doing select hearing as well, by bleeping out only certain swear words. Odd. However, I've discovered that I find Russell Howard funny and am currently watching some of his stuff on YouTube.
I've been filling out job applications this week and have found unexpectedly tiring. I spent two hours on the John Lewis one, mainly because they had a whole page of questions and I didn't know how to answer them, so I deliberated for a long time, and then I spent half an hour debating whether one word should have an apostrophe or not. Sigh.
I've got my college timetable and although I don't have to go in on Mondays the rest of it sucks because they've changed the bus times- one comes home in the middle of a lesson. Now, that's just stupid. The times they were last academic year were fine and suited me perfectly. Also, I don't know when we're going to do Christian Union (which I'm helping to lead this year :S) because lunch is only half an hour and they still have two enrichment periods. ARGH.
After much deliberation, last night I ordered Looking for Alaska and The Hunger Games. I've heard lots of positive reviews about The Hunger Games, so hopefully it'll be good.
Didn't I tell you I was good at moaning?

Five: Select viewing.
For some odd reason, this evening Facebook has decided to go with a select viewing system when it comes to status updates, and is only showing you certain ones. How are they choosing them? Is there a specific criteria on this subject?
Oh, okay, it's back to normal now.
Anyway, I digress. I did type a blog the other day but I forgot to finish it and things have happened since then which would have made it pointless, mainly due to the arrival of a letter saying I didn't get the job at One Stop (because making a phone call is just too difficult, despite the fact it would have been cheaper) and the arrival of my provisional driving licence. My licence is only a temporary one however, because of health reasons, so I have to re-apply again in a year and in the mean time can't drive lorries or mini-buses. Damn.
In other (uninteresting) news, college starts next week and I'm not ready to go back. This summer is dragging and I'm bored a lot of the time, but that still doesn't mean I prefer college...though my mum rang them to find out when I could get my bus pass and she spoke to my tutor, who told her a basic outline of my timetable and I have Mondays off. :) This made me feel slightly better about it.
(Okay, what is Facebook doing? Apparently other people are having this trouble...It's back to select viewing. )
I do wish I was going to university now, even though I'll probably going to be a different university to everyone else. I'm just impatient and bored of learning things that I know I'll never need to know again.
You may have worked out by now that I'm good at moaning. I'm trying hard not to, but failing miserably.
I could complain some more about how I don't have any money and list all the books I want, but we'd be here for a long time.

Four: Odd things.
When I get bored on the internet I still log in to myspace. I don't really use it anymore apart from listening to new bands and that kind of stuff. Anyway, I logged on to myspace just now and I had a friend request from someone called 'The Nude Poet'. What I want to know is, why? Unless you're planning on publishing your poetry with pictures to entertain the reader?
My Uncle Tim came round because he's just got back from holiday and hasn't seen my Mum in a while. Long story short, he went on a boat and saw a huge man (who he'd been warned about the day before, apparently) who was wearing a red thong type thing and lots of gold jewellery (he was a banker. does this mean all bankers wear gold jewellery?) and dropped something. He turned round and picked it up, and my Uncle had a view of his rear end. I was sort of eavesdropping at the time and didn't really want to hear that.
It's September and I think summer is already over. :( People are preparing for Christmas already, which is stupid. Speaking of which, why is there a glittery red reindeer decoration hanging down from the curtain rail? I know I didn't put it there. And my Christmas lights are out. Either I'm doing this and not remembering, or someone else is. Hhmm...
Now for something less odd (I hope!): I find out whether I got the job tomorrow. I say the job but it's nothing major- just working at One Stop. Still, the money's good. I'm not nervous now but I'll need plenty to distract me tomorrow. I'm very impatient.
